Author, Naturalist, and Woman on a Quest

About the Author

Debra Morning

Debra has spent the majority of her life in the mountains, woods, and wetlands throughout the U.S. including Colorado, Utah, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Maryland. By living in the wilderness among all of its creatures she has developed a profound understanding of the natural world and its many lessons in life, living, and death. With a diverse background in small and large business consulting, management, writing, tax, auditing, and accounting—in the for-profit and non-profit sectors—Debra applies her inquisitiveness and analytical skills to explore life's biggest spiritual and philosophical questions. She currently lives in the wooded wetlands of Michigan with her husband of thirty-two years, her son and daughter, and a menagerie of wild and domesticated animals and insects. When she is not at her desk, you can find her maintaining and working their land, biking, hiking, or hand-feeding the resident sandhill crane family.
